Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world’s largest and most influential event for the connectivity industry, bringing together leading global technology companies, operators, innovators, and governments to explore the future of mobile and digital communications. Held annually in Barcelona, it serves as a launchpad for major product announcements and as a hub for ideas shaping the next generation of technology.

As a global leader in telecommunications and network solutions, Ericsson is a long-standing exhibitor at MWC, using the platform to showcase its latest advances in 5G, cloud, and enterprise connectivity. For MWC 2025, Ericsson unveiled a newly reimagined stand design, centred around an open and accessible environment where visitors could experience emerging technologies first-hand — including augmented reality demonstrations and future-focused 5G enterprise applications.

Brandfuel were appointed to deliver the design development and production of the reimagined Ericsson stand. Working for Brandfuel, John joined the project alongside Tom White of Draft Line Studio, as the CAD team responsible for the technical drawings. While Tom oversaw the overall ground plan for the event, John’s focus was on the demo drawings, which formed a key part of the stand’s technical documentation and coordination process.

Across the stand, there were 60+ interactive demos distributed across 11 themed zones, featuring over 100 partner and customer showcases. John was responsible for producing clear, accurate, and efficient CAD drawings for these demonstrations — ensuring that layouts, interfaces, and technical requirements were fully represented and coordinated across disciplines. These drawings provided the foundation for the build, aligning creative intent with engineering feasibility and supporting the production team throughout the delivery phase.

The result was a dynamic, future-ready environment that invited visitors to experience innovation up close — a powerful reflection of Ericsson’s leadership in the global connectivity landscape and Brandfuel’s expertise in delivering world-class live environments.
